GlacialTech Launches a Unique Series of Mini Battery Chargers

power supplies, LED products etc. for industrial and commercial realms, introduces a distinctive
series of mini battery chargers – ML30, MM30, and MF30 respectively applicable to Lead-Acid,
Lithium Manganese Dioxide (LiMnO2), and Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries generally
installed in hand tools (e.g. electric screwdrivers), household appliances (e.g. vacuum cleaners), and
gardening tools (e.g. lawn mowers).
The ML30, MM30, and MF30 battery chargers incorporate an intelligent microcontroller to
monitor and supervise the whole charging process. A three-stage charging procedure implemented
in the ML30 series is suitable for charging Lead-Acid batteries; a two-stage charging procedure
implemented in the MM30 and MF30 series is suitable for charging Lithium Manganese Dioxide
and Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries. The charging time is well controlled to prevent batteries from
overcharging and overheating. The ML30, MM30, and MF30 battery chargers also feature bicolor
LED status display, short-circuit and reverse-polarity protection, a fanless and dustproof design to
get rid of noise and dust as well as compliance with safety regulations including UL, CE, TUV, etc.
The most attractive part is these small-size and light-weight ML30, MM30, and MF30 battery
chargers are very easy to carry.

versatile microcontroller to detect the battery disconnection, coordinate and dominate the whole
charging process as well as control the charging time, enabling you to enjoy a smarter, faster, and
safer battery-charging process.
Bicolor LED signals indicate three circumstances:
1. ) Only the red LED remains invariably bright : charging is progressing.
2. ) Only the green LED remains invariably bright : charging has been completed.
3. ) Both red and green LEDs blink alternately : there is an indeterminate fault that must be excluded from
the system for normal charging to proceed.
Explanation of Charging Procedure:
Stage 1: Constant Current Charging
The charger replenishes the battery with a permissibly maximal constant charging current while
the battery voltage ascends linearly from its initial level to its final level so as to abridge the
charging time.
Stage 2: Constant Voltage Charging
The charger maintains the battery voltage constant at its final level while the charging current
descends exponentially from the maximal current to a knee current and then immediately from
the knee current to nil so that the charger prevents the battery from overcharging and overheating.
Stage 3: Float Charging
The charger supplies the battery with an intermittently minimal charging current several hundreds
of nanoseconds after stage 2 finishes and will automatically terminate the minimal current two
hours after stage 3 commences.
